So, yesterday was our first day at the FOWA conference in London, and what a day it turned out to be!
The Zimki booth was absolutely mobbed by the delegates at the conference and the feedback about the application and the vision was truly inspiring for the team at the show.
FOWA is all about geeks, business managers, founders, investors meeting and sharing information, ideas and knowledge about what is happening in the industry, what are the latest innovation in web development, and listening to some great speakers who are at the cutting edge of the industry.
There were some really outstanding presentations about techniques, tools and changes that will impact the way we put together web apps, how we market them, and how we create a following/community for our apps that will benefit everyone.
Simon Wardley gave a really inspiring and humorous presentation about the commoditisation of IT and what the future holds. This covered the Zimki vision on utility computing and how the industry is moving more and more towards software as a service and utility based computing. This presentation was very well received by the delegates at the conference and created a lot of interest around our Zimki booth with people wanting to talk more to us about the Zimki grid and the application itself.
Yesterday was a real confirmation to us about what we are doing with Zimki and the whole vision about where we are going. It's always nice to have your community validate your ideas.
