Simon Wardley and I recently had an interview with Dr. Paul Miller of Talis. We discuss our views on the commoditisation of IT, a topic brought to the attention of many by Nick Carr in his 2003 Harvard Business Review piece and the more recent book of similar name. We also touch upon the realities of running a company that releases so much under open source licenses, illustrating the discussion with reference to Zimki; It proved to be a fun and interesting conversation and a good insight to our future plans for the product roadmap and open sourcing Zimki. Makes for interesting listening.
